No, nothing has been even started on converting any of this to dvd. Why? Cause frankly Americans are not big buyers of anything foreign, even though as you and I know, this stuff blows away most of the American programs on the market. That being said we have converted 4 programs this year to DVD, plus have 5-6 more conversions to over in the fall, plus 2-4 new programs as well. We have been busy whittling away at our inventory of programs to convert to DVD. We have been doing on average about 10 per year, with full chapter menus and new packaging. Conversion to DVD has rejuvenated quite a few of our programs. One particular that has sold real well is our "Garratts of Zimbabwe" I think we have sold more DVD of it in 2-3 months than we sold VHS in the last 3 years. This program has been the exception to my earlier statement that Foreign stuff doesn't sell well to Americans. They do like Garratts.
Hope things are going well in the Black Hills. I shot this line a couple of days in 1996, and found it interesting, and scenic. Shot the small tank engine which made a good racket(exhaust). Never produced anything with the footage yet. Have one cool shot of a group on horseback as the train is coming. Need to go out and see that articulated that was ex-Rayonier. We did a Rayonier program that had a shot of one of those engines, but it had a tender while on Rayonier.
