#5's only operation in Chama was a caboose hop to the Narrows in 1972. The air pump was non-functional and it returned to Chama leaning on 0503's hand brake.
It got a bit part in the world famous C&TS flick "Legend of the Lone Ranger". It shows being shoved dead to a stop by #19 hiding off camera. You can even see the slack run out and stop #5 with a jerk.
#5's BLW 3 chime whistle got used on 489 for a round trip to Antonito once....
