Yes, I was on the county road. There were several sets of tire tracks that came up to the "dust bowl" and then turned around. I looked at it for about 5 min and then decided I could skirt the eastern half and proabably get through. I was quite suprised as to how much slipping I had in 4WD low range.
Scariest part was driving about 10 miles beyond this point (headed south) and not seeing any other tire tracks and beginning to think there was some more serious obstruction up ahead and I'd have to turn around and chance the dust again...
