This is not ng, but my e-mail is not going through. I just changed, so it's probably me. Anyway, I thought you may want to stay at Farewell Bend State Park, rather than at Ontario, OR, if you were planning to overnight there. Only 30 miles difference. The UP mainline is just across the river, in full view. There could be a side trip to see the old right of way of the Oregon Inland Navigation Company, and tunnel, if the reservior is low enough.
