Here are some sources that I’ve used for the researching the Chama yard. Be aware that the yard has changed over the years.
1.
Chama/Cumbres With A Little Chili, Richard Dorman (p.10-11 nice map of the yard in 1940), this book was just re-printed.
2.
Chama Engine Terminal, Paul Swanson, Railroad Model Craftsman, Aug. 1983 (p.69-73) on page 73 yard layout in 1936 (East yard only).
3. Mike Blazek’s Chama workbook has yard diagram (I believe it’s early 1900s) you can get it at:
Mike's webpage.
4. John Maxwell’s Collection (
Maxwell's Collection) has maps of the yard.
5. The Friends walking tour brochure of the Chama yard may have what you want as well (it’s free).
If you are near a large University you might want to check and see if they have access to the electronic Sanborn map collection. I’ve not used it, but it might have something. I've only used the Sanborn's paper collection, but not for Chama, yet.
I hope this is helpful.
