I remember riding the last revenue scheduled train that day as it started to drizzle as I recall...but that might have been some of the precipitation from all the watering eyes onboard as well...do you recall who the crew would have been on this run? I will never forget the emotions they were fighting back as we headed back from the Loop...it brought tears to our eyes watching the crew give the highball choking back their own tears as we all knew it was the end of an era...
