Martin, the info on this wreck came from the late Floyd Carpenter. He said that the loggers (probibly Stoddard) used the siding at Mason and were prone to leaving the switch unlocked or improperly secured. The switch opened under the train with the observed result. I think the coach went off first and took the baggage/RPO with it, though I don't know for sure. The locomotive was the 19, but I don't know the numbers of the cars, or the date of the accident.
