Bill:
I worked with a guy in the Air Force who was born in La Jara and whose father worked the D&RGW ng all his working life. His father gave him an switch stand marker light from the yards in Alamosa sometime in the late 60s. He didn't really want it, so he gave it to me. It was missing one glass, but I treasured it. Unfortunately, during one of my Air Force moves, the movers stole a whole crate of our household goods and the marker lamp was in there. Was reimbursed with $$$ by the insurance company, but small consolation for my loss. I still have the switch lock that he also gave me. He said that he thinks it was from one of sidings near the depot.
