"It a beautiful little engine and I'll enjoy operating it again". What cha been smokin' Lon?
Actually the new paint job does make it look pretty nice at least from a distance and frankly the ugly duckling has been servicalble when nothing else was. It is a real little workhorse.
It probably is noisy, but I have never noticed it. Eh, what was that you said?
One day a few years back Casey Carlson and I were doing fire patrol with it in the rain. Doesn't make much sense and I at least felt like a fool, but to comply with St. Forestry mandates we were complying. Running backwards to Sumpter the cab acted like a funnel for all the rain that was comming down. We were soaked dogs. The return trip was slightly less unpleasant by the benifit of the windshield, but once you are that wet, who cares.
Hope to see you for Saftey Weekend and or the White Pass Special?
