Dave,
As Jerry said, we're waiting for space to open up in the carshop before we can really tear into the car. We do have trucks for it, though they need to be rebuilt and narrowed up, but they are passenger style. Most of the paneling that was added in the 1980's has been removed from the interior, exposing the original apple green painted panels. My dad and I dismantled the sagging bullnose last summer and discovered it isn't as serious as we had been expecting. It's main problem is a rather stupid design that is far more fragile than it needs to be. So that will be fixed and bulked up a bit. We've done some exploratory surgery in the windows and roofline. Not too bad, though it's a little complicated construction wise. This summer we hope to get all the siding off and do any necessary wall and undercarriage framing repairs as well as the roof straightened out and the clerestory repaired. The 100 is kind of a project that pretty much all the pieces are there, but they all need some TLC. Having her in service this year is unlikely, but we should get good start one her restoration at the very least.
Thanks, Taylor
BTW, As you can see, the car still has a sturdy frame, we were testing it when this photo was taken.
