I have only seen pictures of the 479 pulling the Shavano between Salida and Gunnison. It was the locomotive that handled the last run in the late 1930s. It is interesting to see this engine also worked the Cumbres Pass line.
The Poncha Pass line must have been quite busy for equipment moves bewteen Salida and Alamosa.
