It is interesting to note that the original cars cost $789 and the final depreciated value after a couple of rebuildings and 60+ years of service was a bit over $1000+/-!
Also, note that within a dozen years, 50+ cars had been lost (I presume to accidents). Railroading then was a dangerous sport!
