The overall weight and capacity of those cars is far beyond the weight of the standing passengers you can put in them.
Besides, it's the Docent's job to get on the other side and balance everything out.
Now, if it's after lunch and some people have indulged in too much Osier Kitchen dessert, things might be different. It's then that the Docent has to step up to the dessert table and maintain the balance.
