Answer Riding The Silver Vista

It was the 1st time I rode to Silverton, date was August 15, 1952. My seat was #1 in the car.
No. 473 pulled the train, which ran as a tri-weekly mixed, Sunday, Wednesday, & Friday.
Conductor was Bruce, Brakeman could have been two of these three ..... Myron Henry, Al Lyons, or "Punk" Blackstone.
I can't remember how many cars there were in the train. Just recall that it stopped many places to let off/pick up fishermen. At the guest ranch known as "Awe Wilderness," this was another stop. When train departed, kids on horseback rode along trying to keep up a pace.
Arriving Silverton at 12:40 PM, there was an hour lay over for diner, which was enjoyed in the Grand Imperial Hotel.
No. 453 was switching in the Durango yard & C.B. Johnson was the Agent there.
