Here's what's happened at the WW&F this winter:
Our woods crews have cleared off the right-of-way to the northern end of our currently-owned property, which is about a mile from Alna Center. Additionally, this past fall some volunteers armed with brush cutters and chain saws worked north of where the railroad crosses Rt 218 in Alna, toward Head Tide, and cleaned out brush and small trees all the way to Head Tide Cut.
Work on the flatcar will begin next weekend and will continue every weekend until finished (considering how simple a flatcar is, that will hopefully be done by end of March). The tank still needs to be mounted on the platform. #10 has had some welding work to stiffen up the frame under the firebox.
