We visited the Atlantic station and it is now a cultural museum. They have a 2-6-0 on display there with some other rail equipment. They were working on the connection between Atlantic and Pacific lines while we visited San Jose. I think that the self propelled commuter trainset from Spain is using part of that line for commuter service.
I am glad to have gotten to ride the Pacific line and really wish I could have done more of Central America before the rail systems have gotten so bad.
