D&RGW Cumbres Train Register
February 16, 1932 (Tuesday)
8:20 AM Extra west Rotary ON, engines 488-481-174, arrives, caboose 04990. Ties up at 2:35 PM.
8:30 AM Extra west, engines 478-496, arrives, caboose 0579. Ties up at 1:55 PM (Identified in the register as “wrecker”.)
(The snowbound rotary OY and passenger train near MP 321 had been reached about 10:30 the previous evening. Rotary ON had been brought down from Salida by two K-36’s. Engine 174, a T-12 normally assigned to the Chili line, was added to assist in the rescue effort.)
