The question came up this afternoon at a birthday party for R. H. Kindig about the postings on the DRG and the snow on Cumbres in Feb. 1932. The following is from A.A. "Brownie" Andersons time book. Anderson worked for the C&S out of Como.
Feb. 10, 1932
Call 6:30am - Engine 71 to MP 124 (between Frisco and today's Copper Mt.) Slide 14 hours engines 71-72-73 Paid $14.50.
Feb. 11, 1932
Call 5:30am - Engine 71 Dickey to MP 124 Slide 15 hours Engines 71-72 Paid $14.80.
Feb. 12, 1932
Call 6:30am - Engine 71 Dickey to Leadville 10 hours 30 min. Engines 71-72 Paid $12.70
Anderson's fireman on all days was Joe Delaney.
The storm apparently covered a wide area of Colorado.
