I was looking at the trucks too Taylor and that center casting looks like the ones we have with Ohio Falls cast in them doesn't it. Maybe the UP NG ones are identical. These are definitly trucks that predate a lot of the equipment in service in the 40's. I wonder if they are salvaged from former UN boxcars? Also isn't the photo taken at S wye? Seems like I have heard there was some track relocation at S wye to accomidate the dredging. It looks like the car is sitting on unballasted track. I wonder if there was a center beam passing through the middle of the hoppers front to back?
