These weekly updates are a real joy to read! A big "thanks!" to Carlos for doing them! I do have a question though. I know that financing was severely curtailed this year and that only routine maintenance has been planned for 484, 487 and 488 (well, as routine as anything can be when you are keeping narrow gauge Mikados in prime condition!) but I can't believe that this will take all winter! If there is any time left, will 489 get any attention? Is there ANY funding to continue 489's refurbishment? Having a fourth locomotive will definitely offer up some alternatives for scheduling to the new management!
Also, have any other cars been painted? Whether one agrees with the red/silver scheme or not, I think we all can agree that a single paint scheme on a train will look better than a mix of red and green cars! If more cars are to be painted, how many will that be and is there funding for this? Thanks again for all of these updates!
