We are currently running the 'North Pole Express' on Saturdays and Sundays. The trips are 4 hours long, leaving at 10am, and 4pm.
We had a minor problem the day this photo was taken.
Friday night when I went in to help with fire-up, we had several frozen pipes/valves. Well, eventually, everything seemed to thaw out.
Saturday morning however, the gate valve on the tender froze, and cracked shortly before we were supposed to load the passengers on, so the 10am trip needed to be pulled by a deisel.
Luckily, we have a great mechanical crew, and about 10 minutes after arriving at the 'North Pole', we got a call saying it was fixed, so the 4pm run was pulled by 1225.
We didnt have any problems today.
