R.O.W. of D&RG in Santa Fe

December 07, 2005 07:34AM
I was google earth-ing this morning, and wondered if anyone has a clear recollection of where the track right of way through Santa Fe went?
I've seen pictures of the train on Guadalupe street and worked near the D&RG station (Tomatillo's?) building, so I'm pretty sure the track crossed the Santa Fe river/ditch in front of the Guadalupe church, but I'm not sure where it went after that. Seems like most of the pictures are of the yard and interchange with the ATSF so they're not much help.
Tracing back from the Rio Grande, it looks like County Road 77 roughly follows the R-O-W, but you lose that when you get into populated areas.
In any case, can somebody relate what current streets it paralleled, crossed, etc. as it wandered out of town? (a map or stick figure picture would be great <img class=" />
Thanks,
