Believe me, I'm not going to disappear on this one. Come the holidays, I will try and get the magazine in my hands. The line "best kept secret of the war" does ring a bell and if memory serves me it was part of a caption to a John Maxwell photo that was included in his 1941 collection. I solomnly swear that I will get to the bottom of this and let you all know the results.
Please understand, I'm not trying to perpetuate a fraud. I mearly passed on some information which I saw in print a little while back. I was hoping that someone on this forum could clerify the rumour. Yes I understand that the cold hard facts show that this probably just a rumour with no basis of fact.
I believe Bob Richardson saw the same thing I did. If this publication is from either Railhead or M2FQ, Which I believe it to be, I know both Jim Eakin and Gary Kohler, and will see them both at the Narrow Gauge Meet in Greenford, Ohio this coming April. Possibly I'll see Bob there also.
As I've stated over and over again, I will get to the bottom of this thing. Trust me.
