Hi,
I was looking in my 1878 Official Guide and found the following comment:
Delaware & Hudson Canal Co.(map)
GAUGE NOTE:
Mainline - 4'-8 1/2"
Branch between Carbondale and Scranton - 4'-3", 4'-8 1/2", 6'-0"
between Carbondale and Ninevah - 4'-8 1/2"
The Guide does call it a canal company and not include any reference to a railroad or railway.
I assume the 6' gauge was for Erie interchange.
Anyone know who the 4'-3" narrow gauge was for?
