Ted;
I ventured up to Albion on Saturday along with six other members of the famed W.W.& F. Track Crew (Northern Division). We installed the frog and about 100 feet of track on the new siding. We ran out of correctly-sized joint bars so we couldn't finish the last few rails. The switch is a stub switch but is designed to add points later on. At the end of the day we ran the flanger over the switch onto the siding and back onto the mainline without incident. Our visit coincided with the honoring of Charles Overlock for his role in saving the station from certain destruction. And we got to share his cake! The station is mostly painted except for under the eave on the track side and the southern portion where the stairway was. That portion is shingles rather than clapboard. If you look on the Albion page of the WW&F website you'll see a picture of how it looks. I did not take any pictures but James Patten did (film not digital).
