It is best to review the photos at Osier rather then in Classic Trains. They are so covered with type, stupid artwork, and overlays that they are a discussing waste of fine photos. The magazine is really getting as bad as some English magazines.
They seem to thing that stripes and lines over the photo make it better for the buyer. I will not renew my subscription because the wasted destruction of these fine photos is too disturbing. I don't need to see them that way.
Just give me a 4-sided photo with no caption, and I can relax a soak in the nostalgia.
The way Trains and Classic Trains overlay the captions is about as welcome as a billboard in front of a Vermont Classic Wood Barn! Why are they so blind?
(Because it makes the layout easy and they are lazy to do it right).
