While there's probably way more to the story than any of us know, and much of the story has yet to be written, it's not hard to see why this happened even from an outside viewpoint.
With no money to pay any staff, and no money for insurance, you simply can't survive as an entity. The insurance issue seems a showstopper all by itself.
But yes. &*#@!
