Nice to see a picture of Pete Gores. Gores, who is a former police officer, started his railroading career back in the late 1960's (or the early '70's) as a student fireman on the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville RR in upstate NY. He's a good railroader with plenty of professional experience in the shortline business, including service as General Manager of the Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern RR. I'm not surprised that he was able to do a good job getting things off the ground at the LOOP.
