Steve,
I think a lot of the bashing was against the CHS. There is the old operators side of the story, the CHS side of the story, and then all of the various versions that have been floating around. Railstar had to live up to a high standard and they were just off a bit of bad press in Maine. A lot of folks including myself though it was a train wreck in the making. Comments from both Railstar and CHS about websites being up and functioning, coaches being under construction, and restoration timeframes of steam locomotives made a lot of folks wonder what was truth/fiction.
Once the rubber hit the road and Railstar stepped away from CHS things really started to look better. It seems that Railstar has the people and recources in place to make a good showing and improve as time passes.
The Loop is a treasure and we are lucky that I-70 did not wipe out the right-of-way decades ago. I hope you and Railstar keep up the good work.
