The train in Laughlin was the last of the Custom Fabricators sets (built on the running gear of old Vulcan 0-4-0Ts, supposedly from Mackie-Clemens) Four were built for Marriott Corp for their Great America theme parks in Santa Clara and Gurnee (Chicago), with two going to each park. The first was built for a Jellico, TN theme park and later wound up at Opryland in Nashville. It then went to Astroworld in Houston, which as mentioned earlier is slated to be closed this month by Six Flags.
This one was built for Sea World in Orlando, who never built a railroad for it to run on. The Ramada purchased it sometime in the 80s and got it running again, and its been there ever since.
All were 3' diesel hydraulic. One of the ones from Santa Clara is currently for sale, and two narrow-gauge trolleys which this company manufactured for the same park are in a county storage yard off Peralta Blvd. in Fremont (the PLA's ex-Pickering Heisler #1, as well as the Blake Brothers engine, are on the other side of this same facility)
