Re: Ridership on the LOOP GREAT!, but...

Thank you Don. The battle between CO and NM people over funding for the C&TS has grown way out of proportion. There were many years that NM was short of funds and CO did more than its fair share of supporting the RR. Now that NM is flush and CO short of money they are doing more than their fair share. If the two measures up for a vote in NOV are passed there is a chance that CO will be able to do more. Both states have put a lot of funding into the RR. Dismal management of the railroad has contributed a great deal to the confusion and anger generated by the current imbalance of funding. Let's hope that cooler heads will prevail, that management by the Commission will be more active, and an operator found that has the background and courage to tackle the long-term problems of the C&TS RR. Railroad employees deserve a chance to bring the RR up to good standards and provide the best ride in the world. Bitching won't help but writing on one's elected representatives asking for their "help" is a good way to start.
