Thanks for the photos John! The wires crossing over to the engine house are probably power lines and not communications wires. According to Earl the telegraph wires were on the West side of the tracks through the Chama yard. At the North end of the yard throat, the lines crossed over to the East side. Just before the Narrows, the lines crossed over back to the West side and didn't cross back over until the ROW turned West by Lake Lobato. The line left the ROW and ran alone over the ravine and rejoined somewhere farther North. I am looking for that point on where it rejoined the ROW. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thanks!
