John:
Great to see this posting. Dick Terri Andy and I have been working on trying to define the flow of traffic by comodities for various periods for a display at Chama. The best we have seen so far are the data that the Freight accountants put together which is ok but leaves you a little puddled about what is going in what direction sinc inbound and outbound are lumped together to indicat the revenue from and too a source. WE have one report that compares 1941 with 1948 for the Antonito to Durango "branch and all other branches from there. ( Farmington and Silverton) But it just shows 4 cars of Scrap iron without any clue of whihc direction it is going in. To the Durango Foundry or Pueblo. It maks a difference.
I also enjoyed the ice movement and use as this is a little looked at item, particualrly the use of refrigerator cars to move ice as a comodity.
Thanks again.
Frank
