VINTAGE LOOP FREIGHT-RAILFAN WEEKEND

Railstar is pleased to announce that it will host a railfan weekend on the Georgetown Loop Railroad on October 8th and 9th.
THE TRAIN:
The special train will consist of steam locomotive No.12, Denver & Rio Grande Western stock car No.5702, D&RGW drop bottom gon No.718, D&RGW high side gon No.1089, AND D&RGW caboose No.0586, running westbound in that order.
OPERATING FORMAT:
The train will depart Silver Plume at 10:00AM and make two round trips to Devil's Gate. There will be four different photo stops and runbys on each round trip. A box lunch will be included in the price of the ticket and served at Silver Plume after the first roundtrip.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Participants will receive a guided tour of the three original Colorado & Southern cars n the Silver Plume Car Shed. These cars are C&S baggage/RPO car No.13, C&S coach No.76, business car No.911. Saturday evening locomotives 12 and 21 (diesel) will be spotted outside the Silver Plume engine house for nighttme photos. Saturday night there will also be a narrow gauge slide show at the Georgetown Community Hall.
