The website "Whitepassfan.net" currently has an article about WP&Y Diesel Engines #1 and #2. Once you get on the site, click on "diesel engines" and then scroll down the articles. I think it is the 3rd or 4th article on the page. Then click on the article title for the detailed article to pop up. It is a good article with a number of pictures including one of the two locomotives on a standard gauge flatcar being shipped to the pacific coast. The Colorado and Wyoming railroad was owned by Colorado Fuel & Iron and it is still controlled by that steel company which is now operating with the name of Rocky Mountain Steel. If you look on a pictures of the new 44-ton engine at Georgetown Loop, you will see painted ont he side of the engine frame "donated by Rocky Mountain Steel and rebuilt by C&W" or words to that affect. Northeast.railfan, net has a web site for 44 to 65 ton and has pictures of the 44-tonner at Georgetown Loop as well as the former 72-tonners at the Loop. The 23 to 25-ton list has two pictures of CI&F #11 at the Pueblo Railway Musuem.
Sincerely,
Andy
