Locomotive colors

Seeing the nice photo of #478/472 with the green boiler got me to thinking and yet another question pops up.
What colors were commonly used, if any, other than green and black, by narrow gauge railroads to paint locomotives?
I am refering to paint, not the treatment known as Russian Iron or whatever the name was.
