Thanks for the report, I had heard stories floating around about the "Der Hochbeinige" but nothing verified. I hear the Williamsburg park is a class act.
The "Alpen Express", coincidentally, was actually rebuilt at Tweetsie's shops (and cosmetically made over) for Anheuser-Busch. It was a later (post-1970) model built for Lakeside Park in Salem, VA.
The Tampa park (which opened some time previous to Williamsburg) also has two "themed" Crowns, in addition to two more of the "stock" design (ex-Kings Dominion and Six Flags St. Louis).
