EBT Update: 8/20/05 *LINK*

I arrived at the EBT to find much progress on #15 in the last week.
- the smokebox has been closed up
- all running boards are back on. Most were refabricated
- the little step plates to reach the sand domes are installed
- all new cab floors were installed, allowing the jacket to be installed in
the cab.
- the first two brass boiler bands were installed
- the grabirons running from the smokebox to the cab were installed.
This afternoon we installed the two sheets on the engineer's side and almost got the first one in on the conductor's side. I'll bet the jacket will be completely finished at the end of the day 8/21. Once the jacket is completed, piecing together the jigsaw puzzle that is #15's plumbing can begin.
Really starting to look good.
The EBT is shooting to have her finished and tested within a month.
M-6 is fully operational and is parked behind M-4, which is behind M-7 in stall 1 of the roundhouse.
