Ed Kelly: You have reported in your GLRR article that the axles of No.21 "broke" causing the derailment. Please go to
www.georgetownpolitics.com and read the news articles from the papers. At no time did an axle on the No.21 bust. It was soft ties and wide gauge. No passengers were stranded and Lee Berhens did not drive (child) passengers in his truck, they were the children of one of the workers dealing with the derailment, which he drove from Devil's Gate Station to Georgetown...NOT Silver Plume. Also, the FRA was not looking for "dirt", they were looking for defects...and the found NO EXCEPTIONS in the track or on any of the locomotives or rolling stock.
