The Chama water tank can receive water from two sources. One source is a well located East of the tank in what is called the "swamp". Another source is by a connection to the cistern located at the NE corner of the enginehouse. Not sure if the pump that fills the cistern directly fills the tank by changing hand valves or if it is repumped from the cistern. In recent years, at least before mid-summer last year, the cistern source was the one normally used. The well in the "swamp" sometimes runs dry as it did this week.
