Sorry about that. Here is the jist of the post...
"I stopped by Urich Locomotive in Strasburg, CO, today.
Marlin was inspecting the boiler of #9.
Yeasterday, a large crane removed the boilers from both #9 and #30 and
set them on cribbing.
#9's boiler appears to be in very good shape and will require only
minor repairs.
#9 has new cylinder liners and will soon get new pistons,too.
#30 is a different story.
As a result of several accidents in the past, there are quite a few
issues as well as thin sheets and cobbled repairs over the years.
At this point, Marlin think it will take a new boiler/firebox.
