I looked through the other pictures also and found one called "Westbound at Chama" of 163 setting west of the station and wondered if the poster knew with certainty what date the photo was taken in. It looks 1880's OK but the station is the present station which was built in 1899 after the fire that destroyed the station, coal docks and enginehouse. WE think the original station was destroyed in another fire about the middle 1880's and so believe the present station is the third. There is a photo around that proports to be the first station but there are no pictures of the second station nor any comments about what it looked like. If this is a mid 1880 picture than it could be the second station.
