That Climax #684 ran on the 6 miles Middle Park Lumber Co. in 1906. The mill was on the St. Louis Creek, south of Fraser.
The big question for this area was the reported existence of a 21-mile long logging railroad called "Grand Lake Lumber & Crate Co." at Grand Lake. It was recorded to run in 1935 and 1936 but its existence has never been confirmed. This data from "Logging RR of West" by Kramer Adams (1961) but it has never been seen in any other logging directories or Colorado histories.
The Climax photo is on Page 81 of Bob La Massena book "Colorado Mt. RRs" and is an Eastom Collection taken at Granby mill where it later moved from Fraser. He says it ran for 13 years in Colo. It was supposed stored back at Frazer until 1939 when it went for scrap.
