Now that I have finished my new 1000 sq' photo lab and gallery in my Denver basement, I am going through some old negatives which I will reprint. They were taken in 1956.
Waaay back when I was a young man, a Navy flyer operating out of Barbers Point NAS in Hawaii, I had occasion to take a day off and went down to Honolulu and prowled the abandoned roundhouse and yards of the Oahu Railroad, just outside and to the west of down town Honolulu.
To my amazement, there was a huge roundhouse, electric turntable, and tons of equipment parked there. Included were 2-8-2 #60, and 0-6-0 steam loco and two diesels, one numbered #15 and the twin, which number is not visible, I suspect is #19.
Photos were taken with a 2.8 Rolleiflex and I have about a dozen shots. #60 stunned me as it was a duplicate of the DRRW K-28 except for no air compressors on the front. I even took my own picture standing on the gangway of the engine...with a self timer.
Going to make some prints in my new lab and wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction for information on #60.
I have been told that my pictures might be valuable, and I am considering posting them on the web in a low-rez scan, as the photos are copyrighted my this writer.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, please respond here or contact me off list at:

Many thanks. Be well. Richard Boulware - Denver.
