At one time I was planning to build an HOn3 or Sn3 diorama of the Ophir Loop area, and tried to catch everything that would be needed (in addition to the trestle plans in Mal Ferrel's book) to get the details close to correct. Then I got hooked on 12"-to-the-foot scale in 1975 and, except for an HO Christmas train for my daughter, haven't done much model building since ...
