John Templeton has previously posted some data for Durango ice distribution in August 1950 showing that just over 24,000 lbs. of company ice was used that month. In regards to the transportaion of ice for company use were refrigerator cars used for inbound and outbound distribution to online locations? Assuming 50Lb. blocks that would be 480 blocks in the month of August 1950 which probably was peak usage. When did ice distribution to online locations stop? Did the RGS get ice from the D&RGW? And lastly where was the Durango ice distributed from after the ice house burned in 1949?
