Charlie, Most ISP providers provide free URL service. My wife uses a local company "Pacifier" which is part of USNet company. They provide 7 Mb of storage which she uses for Ebay images. No password is necessary to look at images on the site, if she provides the path to the image to be viewed. I'm surprised USWest does not provide such a service. Try clicking on the path I've put in ngdiscussion's "optional Image URL:" slot. You should see an ad for a 1949 Ford she took from a 1949 Life magazine.
The difficult part is storing the image. I have to do it for her using ftp95pro, a program just for transfering the image from my computer to her storage site.
