I sent my unit back as the plow did not appear to conform to the plows used on the K-27s. I may need to be corrected on this, but the pilot steps must have been removed on the real engine to attach the plow. Accucraft decided to mount it over the steps, therefore the plow is too long (from point to smoke box front). That is why the model plow appears so long.
Removal of the steps would have shortened it. Even then I felt the contour of the plow was wrong in comparrison to the On3 Leetown plows I have for the K-27.
Will have to do some scratch building to keep the RGS East open for the winter.
Would like to hear anyone elses comments on the plow.
