Water Tank and Caboose. *PIC*

One of the Uintah's for wheeled cabooses sets on the west leg of the wye in this photograph of the Water tank and boiler house at Mack, Colorodo around 1920. The front of a locomotive is just in view to the right. Notice the water stand that was used to fill the tank engines. Also notice the window at the base of the water tower. This water tower was "enclosed" and used as a sort of shop at Mack. Later the tank gave way and destroyed everything in view here, the new tank, built of steel was placed at the end of the wye. How many other enclosed base narrow gauge tanks were there, any other practical reason for them other than storage/ workroom/ frost protection? Sorry about the grainy photo, but that is as good as the original is, did not make the cut for the book (Uintah pictorials).
