Not to rain on the parade (I have stayed out of all this Georgetown controversy), but you said
'With sand in the sanders, she barked, straining in the tight curves to pick up steam once again on the straights up the steep grade. This was a test of her abilities and is more than will ever be asked of her again.'
It appears the cars are all empty in those pictures. How will she perform with the cars full, especially if it was straining around corners.
Eitherway, it is nice to see yet another steam locomotive up and running again.
